Felicia Suzanne Willett’s love for all things culinary began as a child. She spent summers and school breaks with her maternal grandmother in Hoxie, Ark., just 30 minutes from her hometown of Jonesboro. “Biscuits and fried chicken … it was all biscuits and fried chicken,” Willett said. “In fact, one of the first things I remember cooking was fried chicken. I talked a babysitter into letting me stay up and cook for my mother, who was out on a date. I don’t even know if I had instruction.”
