NEXT STOP — The Sunroom.
Punch up the Palette. Just because you’ve stepped inside doesn’t mean you have to leave nature’s inspiration at the door. Whether it’s a bright floral print or a botanical-inspired accessory, bring in the color.
Consider What’s Underfoot. Sunrooms often have tile or hardwood flooring, which can be great if you enter or exit the house from this room. However, if you want to dress up the space and make it warmer for winter months, consider adding a soft rug.
Let Light Inside. Windows are most often the prominent feature of sunrooms, which makes letting the sun indoors easy. Select drapery panels with a durable lining that will stand up to sun’s bright light. Make sure they are hung in a manner that allows them to function easily.
Create a Lounge Area. Just like the patio, the sunroom often becomes a favorite space to relax. Incorporate comfortable furniture that encourages lazy afternoon naps or casual conversation with friends.
Keep it Cool. They don’t call it a sunroom for no reason! Make sure you have a ceiling fan or plenty of open vents to keep the air circulating.
