NEXT STOP — The Living Room.

Use comfy furniture. Plush sofas give the room a more casual feel and encourage relaxation.

Incorporate mobile pieces. The use of low stools is a great way to add extra seating without taking up a large amount of space. They can also be moved around to create different conversation areas depending on your needs.

Keep a cool, color palette. If your living room is a smaller space, chose light, airy colors to make the room appear more open and inviting. For example, the drapery panels in this room blend with the wall color and allow plenty of natural light in to the room.

Add fun accessories. Pillows and throws are a great way to bring in bolder colors and patterns. Plus, they are easy to change if you want to quickly update a room.

Bring in the technology. Televisions, tablets and laptops are a part of the way we live today, so embrace this by placing your TV in an area that’s easily viewable from all angles of the room. Be sure to hide any wiring to create a seamless look.
