What is your occupation? I am vice president and national sales manager of Wiederkehr Wine Cellars, Inc. Where is your hometown? Wiederkehr Village, Arkansas. Do you have any children? Yes, daughter Emily, son Spencer, and a granddaughter Austyn. What kind of music do you listen to? I appreciate all music, but find myself listening to classic rock and lately a little bit of country. What is your favorite movie? I would have to say “The Big Chill,” I love the soundtrack, and “Rudy,” because I always cheer for the underdog. What are you reading now? I just finished The Lincoln Lawyer and headed into a new James Patterson. Name your favorite place in the world. On a gulf or ocean beach — I love to be near and hear the waves and water. When I was little I wanted to be.. work at my Grandfather Wiederkehr’s winery. What has surprised you the most about your adult life? Being a 20-year survivor of bone cancer. What is the most important lesson you have ever learned? You can’t please everyone; just be fair and honest. What is one goal still on your list that you have yet to accomplish? Own a winery. If I could travel to any place in the world it would be…Switzerland, the homeland of my ancestors. What is your all time favorite wine? Wiederkehr, of course; I am a fan of cabernet sauvignon and appreciate many. What top three qualities do you look for in a mate? Honesty, loyalty and a sense of humor. What is your favorite holiday and why? Thanksgiving, because it is a four-day weekend that is so much about family and friends and just being together. How do you spend your spare time? I play golf and attend live music festivals. My job gives me the opportunity to see places like Napa Valley, Oregon and Washington wine regions and attend as many as 15 other festivals and events in Arkansas each year. What is your life's motto? Make friends, and try not to sweat the small stuff.
