Lorie Kimes Scott, Lorie’s Leaps & Bounds
Lorie Kimes Scott has been involved in gymnastics and cheer from an early age. She was Arkansas state champion in gymnastics when she was in sixth grade, and was a cheerleader in junior high and high school. At 30, she became one of the first women in Arkansas to become an International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness professional. Blessed with her physical abilities, she prayed for guidance on how to use her talents to help others. With influence from her favorite bible verse (Philippians 4:13), “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” she began the Gym for Him Ministry, a program that teaches gymnastics, fitness, and cheer alongside spiritual truths to build children spiritually & physically. She taught Gym for Him at Immanuel Baptist Church for 13 years and expanded the program three years ago at her own studio, Lorie’s Leaps & Bounds. Today, she teaches private lessons and small groups and offers Gym for Him sessions in fall, winter, and spring.
“I love what I do,” Scott said. “I teach every child & every class. All of my students get personalized instruction and guidance from me.”
