Have a Jeep (or three) in your garage?
Fill up your tank, load up the kids and join in on the Arkansas Jeep Owners Society’s August Trail Ride! Meet up with fellow Jeep owners at Walmart on Hwy. 10 and Chenal at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning. It’s that easy!
At 8:30 a.m., you’ll follow the leader to Petit Jean for a day of trails, dirt roads and beautiful scenery. Don’t forget to bring snacks, drinks and your favorite playlist!
Joel Baker, president of the society, says he and a few friends started the family-friendly club about five years ago. It started out small, but has grown into the large group of Jeep enthusiasts that it is today.
Baker says the club is centered around teaching people to use their Jeeps correctly and spending quality time with family. There’s typically an organized trail ride each month, and the group regularly has a picnic lunch together.
“We enjoy going on trails and getting people out to really see what their Jeeps are capable of. The main force, though, is that it’s all family-oriented. We want the family to get out together, have fun and do different things. Getting everybody involved, that’s what’s important to us,” he says.
You deserve a fun family adventure through the woods, too. So take a deep breath, unplug for a few hours, relax and enjoy the view.
