The 27th Annual Arkansas Outdoor Hall of Fame Banquet will be Friday, August 24 at 6 p.m. The banquet is being held at the Statehouse Convention Center, located at 101 E. Markham St. in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The Arkansas Game & Fish Foundation hosts this event every year to recognize men and women from across the state who have made a significant difference in expanding the use and enjoyment of Arkansas’ outdoor resources and broadening conservation education. All the proceeds from this event will go to the foundation for their yearly work.
The banquet will have approximately 1,200 people in attendance. There will be a live auction, dinner, induction of Hall of Fame nominees, and the presentation of the Legacy Award, which is selected by the Foundations Nominating Committee. Since 1992, when the Arkansas Outdoor Hall of Fame began, it has inducted 90 members.
“For more than 100 years, the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission has worked to conserve the state’s wildlife resources, thanks to the selfless contributions of people such as our 2018 slate of inductees and award winners,” Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation President Deke Whitbeck told the Agricultural Council of Arkansas. “We are delighted to be able to celebrate these success stories and the five outstanding Arkansans behind them.”
The inductees have been named and will be honored at the banquet. The 2018 Arkansas Outdoor Hall of Fame inductees are Jim Hinkle, Ellen Moorhead Fennell and Randy Young. There will also be a Legacy award given out during the banquet honoring Johnelle and the late J.B. Hunt.
Individual tickets are $125 and tables of 10 are available for $1,250 each.
