501 Day is back for its second year to celebrate Central Arkansas, along with all the opportunities it offers on the weekend of May 1.

The area code for Central Arkansas has become more than just a part of a phone number but serves as a symbol of the region in the heart of Arkansas.

Created in 2021, 501 Day was organized by the Downtown Little Rock Partnership with other cities, chambers of commerce and community organizations throughout Central Arkansas — a region many are proud to call home.

“We are excited to bring 501 Day back for its second year,” says Gabe Holmstrom, executive director of Downton Little Rock Partnership. “The holiday builds pride in our region and encourages community across Central Arkansas.”

Communities within the area code are encouraged to engage with their residents, organizations and businesses to create ways to celebrate. Participants can show their 501 pride with special 501 themed offers, activities, merchandise, public art displays and more.

Follow 501 Day festivities through the #Celebrate501 hashtag on social media and on Celebrate 501’s Instagram and Facebook. Organizers hope others will share what they love about Central Arkansas not only on May 1 but all year.
