Arkansas is the perfect place for retirement for both long-time residents and those relocating during their later years.
“Our low cost of living is consistently touted as a reason to consider Arkansas for retirement or relocation,” Secretary of the Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism Stacy Hurst tells AY About You. “You can buy a house in Arkansas, with land if you want it, have access to first-rate health care and enjoy nature, culture and good food. Plus, we’re centrally located with a temperate, four-season climate.”
The state was recently recognized as the third best state in the country for retirement in 2020 by MoneyRates, based on the local economy, health care conditions, personal security, weather and popularity with older residents.
When it comes to retirement, many people look forward to it yet few are truly prepared. It can be difficult to know even when or where to start preparing.
AY wants to help our readers plan for their retirement in the Natural State.
