A popular Little Rock media personality is transitioning from broadcast journalism to the corporate world. THV11 news anchor Amanda Jaeger announced Thursday in a social media post that she has accepted a senior management position at Walmart’s corporate headquarters in Bentonville.

In her new role as senior manager of digital strategy and brand engagement, Jaeger will be working in corporate affairs with top international communications professionals.

“I feel overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Truly, I couldn’t have orchestrated all the events that led up to this opportunity. God opened the doors and I’m thrilled to walk through them,” Jaeger wrote in her social media update. “Now, I need all your Northwest Arkansas food and fun recommendations!”

On her last day, the THV11 crew put together a montage of their favorite moments during her time at the station, as well as a surprise goodbye message from her old co-host, Rob Evans.

During her final Wake Up Central segment, she said that her departure was all “bittersweet,” except for deleting the 3 a.m. alarms. “That feels pretty good, I’m not going to lie.”
