For the second stop on the Legendary Eateries Bucket List tour, Heather Baker and KARK’s Hunter Hoagland made a visit to the one and only Cotham’s In the City in downtown Little Rock.

“You might have thought we were doing a story for Arkansas Money & Politics with all these political signs, but we’re not we’re doing the Bucket List,” Baker says as the camera pans around to walls covered in political memorabilia from Arkansas’ past.

“All of these different signs, and all of these different people,” Hoagland says. “There are so many people in here, so this is the place to be for lunch.”

The duo starts things off with appetizers, and — in true Cotham’s fashion — it’s all fried and all delicious. Baker goes for her tried-and-true favorite with the fried green tomatoes, and Hoagland can’t get enough of the onion rings.

“These onion rings, they might be the best-looking thing on the table,” he says.

Next up for Hoagland is a must-order when visiting Cotham’s — the Hubcap Burger. “You kind of need two hands for this thing.”

And since it’s Wednesday, Heather tried out the daily special of chicken fried steak, which was served underneath a pool of gravy and with mashed potatoes and fried okra.

“I mean, I’m sure this is all carb-free,” Baker jokes with a grin.

Also on deck are a few more staples for the legendary spot, like the fried catfish, cornbread, chicken fingers, and a smorgasbord of side items.

For the dessert round, it’s all fried again — fried pies, that is.

Tune in next Wednesday on KARK to see which “Legendary Eatery” the two visit next.
