One of the largest brewpubs in the state, Apple Blossom Brewing Company, will be permanently closing effective immediately.
The company is located on East Zion Road in Fayetteville and opened six years ago. Evan McDonald, one of the owners, made the announcement via Facebook Live on Tuesday, June 23.
“These last few months that you have all continued to support us have meant a lot,” he says in the video. “We tried to do what we could with the new reality that we are living in, but we couldn’t make it work. So, yeah that’s it.”
McDonald thanked the staff, customers and families in the video.
“Support your local businesses because this is not the last announcement like this one that you will see,” McDonald says. “Continue to buy local beer. There’s even more amazing Arkansas beer being made than when we opened.”
