Laura Leigh Turner

Sure it’s going to be a spring-like Friday in December in Central Arkansas. But we all need a little Christmas up in here, don’t you agree?

The folks at the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra totally thought we needed it, and they are presenting a unique holiday program on Sunday with a real Broadway star! Laura Leigh Turner, featured in online and print editions of AY About You, will be performing with the Symphony in a rare online-only performance Sunday at 3 p.m.

The North Little Rock native, who played Karen in “Mean Girls” for three days in the spring before the pandemic shutdown, will sing “The First Noel,” “O Holy Night” and among others for the ASO’s 2020 version of their “Home for the Holidays” concert from the Robinson Music Center stage.

Admission is free plus you can watch at any time in the next two weeks. Here is the link: ArkansasSymphony.org/home2020.
