A popular Atlanta-based vegan restaurant, Slutty Vegan, may be looking at Little Rock for its first Arkansas location. The eatery will be in Little Rock today, Monday, Aug. 15, for its first-ever pop up tour. According to the popular plant-based “bar food” favorites, the restaurant will be serving food from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. CST at 24 Rahling Circle, where YGFBF Kitchen is located.
Atlanta may pride itself on a lot, including good music, a close southern-city community and good eats. The plant-based restaurant currently has five locations, all of which are in Georgia, with a location in Athens, Duluth, two in Atlanta and another in Jonesboro. Menu favorites include plant-based foods that mimic burgers and wings and sandwiches. Additional locations have been recently announced for Birmingham, Alabama and Brooklyn, New York. According to its website, the vegan eatery uses Impossible brand plant-based substitutes in all of its burgers. Expansion into the franchise is coming soon, with more information about investment opportunities available via email.
Pinky Cole, the CEO and founder, is responsible for building the eatery that has changed vegan diet culture. Catering to both vegan food and meat-eaters alike, guests can explore food outside of typical vegan foods such as staple salads. The burgers are an Atlanta favorite, but have also been celebrated by celebrities such as Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Taraji P. Henson, Tyler Perry, Tiffany Haddish and Queen Latifah. Cole has been nationally recognized by The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, Forbes, People Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Southern Living, Travel + Leisure, Food & Wine and was recently featured on the cover of ESSENCE.
