For the latest stop on the Coffee and Pastries Bucket List, Heather Baker and Hilary Hunt visited Leiva’s Coffee last week — a place that’s gone from grinding coffee to a swanky new food truck with the “cutest patio,” as Baker says.
“I’m ready to dive in,” Hunt responds. “Everything looks awesome.”
Baker gets things started with two cups of Tres Leches — one hot and one cold. Leiva’s makes theirs with a special house three milk blend and vanilla.
It’s “three’s company” for Hunt’s first few sips, getting three special made concoctions. First is the Queen Bee, a traditional latte with local honey and infused with lavender. Next, it’s the traditional Pumpkin Spice Latte — and we all know how delicious that is. Last for Hunt was the Dolce Luna, a harmonious blend of white mocha and dark mocha.
“Like Heather said, they have so many unique flavors,” Hunt says.
“They have something for everyone,” Baker exclaims.
Things wouldn’t be complete without a few delicious pastries to soak up all that coffee. Leiva’s baker brought out all the stops for the gals. Like blueberry muffins, pumpkin chocolate chip muffins, banana nut bread, raspberry menon bread, pumpkin bread, champurradas and a unique homemade “pop tart.”
“The flavors just burst in your mouth,” Baker says.
