Country music star and Arkansas native Bailey Hefley is adding another notch to her belt with a new single release.
This week, Hefley’s new single “+1” will release, and will be added to Radio Disney on Thursday, Feb. 27. Not only that, but the single will get its own lyric music video.
Now that her single has been added to Radio Disney, she’s basically part of the Mouse House family.
“When I heard that Radio Disney added “+1″ to their rotation, I called my mom immediately and then allowed myself about five minutes to ‘happy dance’ around my kitchen before getting back to work. I am overwhelmed with excitement that they are supporting me. Disney has always been a huge part of my life, and I’m very grateful to now be a part of the Disney family,” Hefley says.
This isn’t the only big news for Hefley. She has an album, entitled Forever 20, coming out this year. The album is a collection of songs that she co-wrote that tackles deeply personal issues, such as dealing with childhood bullies, finding her voice and heartbreak.
“Someone once said, ‘Sometime you have to look back to look forward,’ and that’s what this project feels like to me,” she says. “It’s a brief pause to reflect on all I’ve been through, all I’ve been given, and all I’ve yet to do. I give my all, I learn, I grow and I move ahead with either a blessin’ or a lesson.”
