A rising music star, Arkansas native Bailey Hefley has released a new single. The song, Dust on a Diamond (20 Mix), now available for download at major music sites.
Hefley has been making waves in the country music scene with her EP, “So.That.Girl,” which features the original “Dust on a Diamond” track. But that’s just the start of Hefley’s musical journey – she told AY magazine in December that she’s already working on a new album.
But in the meantime, she is taking refuge in Arkansas because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the release of the single mix, Hefley decided to send a message to her AY fans.
“I feel so blessed to be home right now on the farm with my family, quarantined back in Arkansas,” she said. “I feel equally blessed that Heather Baker has sent me a text asking me to tell y’all about my single that’s out right now.”
This break-up song was one that was important for her both artistically and personally. Not simply another song, “Dust on a Diamond” became a balm for her. “It’s a song that helped me heal when I wrote it, and I hope that it helps you heal the same way that it helped me when you hear it,” Hefley said.
Hefley thanked AY Publisher Heather Baker for the opportunity to share her song with AY readers and said that she hoped that listeners could find something valuable from the song.
“Heather, you’re amazing, and you’re so kind to me. Thank you so much – you’re awesome,” she said. “Thank ya’ll for listening, and I hope that you love it.”
