Looking for a pawty? Bark Bar in Little Rock is celebrating its third Bark Day and National Dog Day on August 26, but there will also be the Tournament of Chomp-ions, a series of events throughout this month that will take place both in-person and online.
Every Saturday this month will have an event for the tournament starting August 15 and ending August 29 with a medal ceremony.
Below is the Tournament of Chomp-ions Schedule:
Saturday, August 15 at 4 p.m: Fetch Chomp-etition
Saturday, August 22 at 4 p.m: Trick Chomp-etition
Wednesday, August 26 at 6 p.m: Dog Day Chomp-etitors Pawty
Saturday, August 29 at 4 p.m: Golden Bone Ceremony
Tournament registration is $25 and covers all events. Individual qualifying chomp-etitions registration is $15.The registration covers participation for one dog and one human.
If you want to be in-person at the events, seating is limited and must be reserved in advance with tickets at $10 for one human and one dog, and $5 per additional dog or human. Events will also be live-streamed for free. The winners will be determined from audience votes via text message.
Only dogs that compete in both the Fetch and the Trick Chomp-etitions are eligible to win the coveted Golden Bone. Furthermore, the winning dog will receive a lifetime membership to Bark Bar and a $100 gift card for its humans.
Secondary awards will be the Goodest Pup Award for those showing the best effort, and Best Doggie Gear for those wearing the most impressive outfits.
