Arkansas is known for its back road treasures when it comes to dining.
How about a drive off Interstate 40, close to Hazen, where you eat in a barn? It’s Big K’s Catfish Barn, and if you’re in those parts on a Saturday night between the months of December and March, then you’re in luck!
Fried catfish, chicken strips, French fries, German cole slaw, hush puppies and fried biscuits with honey and powdered sugar are on the menu.  It’s a $15 all-you-can-eat-buffet that draws diners in from Montana, New Mexico and South Carolina to name a few.

Of course, Arkansans from Russellville, Newport and Bryant are often in the crowd.
They feed about 600 or so during the busy months of January and February. And remember, it’s just Saturday nights. There’s no website, but you can access information on their Facebook page.
It’s good eatin’ and the people are so friendly.
