Get ready to laugh with some idiots – the Raging Idiots. Arkansas son Bobby Bones and The Raging Idiots are returning to the Natural State in September, bringing their trademark musical comedy with them.
Born in Hot Springs and raised in Mountain Pine, Bones is a radio superstar, serving as the host for the national syndicated The Bobby Bones Show as well as the vice president and creative director of iHeartCountry.
Bones started his career early in Arkansas, working at the campus radio station at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia. He later went to work in Little Rock before moving to Austin and later to Nashville. Since that time, he was become a force in radio. His radio show is broadcast to approximately 140 stations and is the number one country morning show in the nation.
But this fall, he will be doing something a little different. Bobby Bones and the Raging Idiots started as a joke in high school – it was the fake band that opened for his comedy act. In 2014, he reinvented the group for a charity event. Due to the wild success of it, Bones decided to keep the group together to raise funds for communities and charities.
Bobby Bones and the Raging Idiots have released an EP, The Raging Idiots Presents – The Raging Kidiots, and a comedy album, The Critics Give It 5 Stars. They also have an upcoming EP entitled Live From Boston.
On September 14, the Bones and the gang will perform at Robinson Performance Hall. The show will begin at 8 p.m.
Tickets for the performance go on sale Friday, May 17, at 10 a.m. Tickets are available at the Robinson Center Musical Hall ticket office, by phone at 800-745-3000, or at ticketmaster.com.
