Masks will no longer be required in Branson, starting this week.

On April 16, Branson’s mask requirement will end, marking the first time since July 2021 that face coverings have not been required in the popular travel destination. According to Branson Mayor Larry Milton, the end of the mask mandate gives individuals and businesses a choice about whether or not to wear masks.

“This vote was never about forcing individuals to stop wearing masks, it was about getting government out of it. These decisions should be left up to the individual citizens and businesses. We are one Branson, moving forward together for a brighter future for all,” Milton said according to a local news report.

Milton was elected to office recently, winning an April 6 election.

The mask requirement in Branson will end Friday, April 16 at 12:01 a.m.
