As August comes to a close, KARK’s DJ Williams and AY About You President and Publisher Heather Baker have been venturing out for one last Dog Friendly Bucket List Segment. The duo have made a stop at The Pantry West, right off of Rodney-Parham in Little Rock. 

 

Williams begins the segment by telling viewers that this is one of his favorite restaurants to visit. Williams’ Golden Retriever, Shade, made an appearance at this restaurant as well. 

 

The camera zooms in on a spread full of incredible entrees, with Williams already holding a platter full of flatbread. “DJ, put the flatbread down,” Baker exclaims. “It looks so good, this is the pesto flatbread.” 

 

 

The flatbread is coated with tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, fresh greens and of course, some cheese. “This bread is amazing and all of the food looks great,” Williams adds. 

 

Baker and Williams both are big fans of the deviled eggs. 

 

“We’ve got to start with what we’ve been talking about all morning, these deviled eggs that look like little chickens,” Williams says. 

 

“These are so good,” Baker adds, while the duo says “cheers,” with deviled eggs in hand.

The spread is complete with many menu favorites, and as Williams comments, you can’t get through a good meal without a good hand-crafted drink. 

 

Williams sips whiskey while Baker enjoys the Las Rancheros, which is a specialty drink made with tequila. 

 

“The staff here at The Pantry has blessed me with a shot of whiskey,” Williams says, adding as he tries the Field of Eden, which is another specialty drink of the eatery makes with whiskey. 

 

“The Las Rancheros is nice and light, it has fresh fruit too,” Baker says. 

 

While Williams enjoys the Field of Eden, Baker takes a bite of the Pantry Seasonal Salad. “This is a plum in a salad, i’ve never had anything like this – onions and feta cheese, and fresh fruit for the summer,” Baker says.

Next, Baker and Williams try the Seafood Stew, which is a main menu favorite of The Pantry West. The Seafood Stew contains shrimp, mussels, tomatoes and fennel straw. 

 

“I love [ the seafood stew], love fresh mussels,” Heather notes. 

“I’m no food connoisseur, but I think that the stew is really, really good. It has a nice flavor,” Williams adds. 

 

 

Next up, Williams and Baker both finish off their meals with the cheesecake. In classic Baker and Williams fashion, the bucket list professionals enjoy a bite of the brûlée-topped cheesecake after a good meal at The Pantry West. 

 

“Seriously, come check out The Pantry,” Williams says on a final note. “It truly is amazing,” Baker agrees.
