The Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) has announced it will be hosting An Evening with the Legends of Radio — Live and Unscripted in March. The event will include some of the state’s most legendary radio broadcasters — Bob Robbins, Craig O’Neill, “Broadway” Joe Booker and “Outlaw” Tommy Smith.
CALS Arkansas Sounds and Ron Robinson Theater will be sponsoring this “once-in-a-lifetime event” for fans of the iconic guests, who will be sharing the stage for the first time. Moderator Danny-Joe Crofford will lead the event, discussing the legends’ backstories and greatest moments and memories in Arkansas broadcast history.
Additional special guests will be announced at a later date.
An Evening with the Legends of Radio — Live and Unscripted will be held at CALS Ron Robinson Theater on Saturday, March 5 at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and beer, wine and concessions will be available for patrons. A donation of $100 will reserve a seat for this event. All proceeds will go toward improvements to the CALS Ron Robinson Theater.
All patrons 13 years old and older will be required to present proof of vaccination with the final vaccine dated at least 14 days or more prior to the event date. This can be presented in the form of a vaccination card, a photo of the vaccination card or a digital confirmation of vaccination.
Proof of a negative COVID-19 test completed within 48 hours of the start time of the event may also be accepted in place of proof of vaccination. Masks are required for attendees aged 2 and older, except while eating or drinking.
