Fall is here, and cooler weather’s setting in. That means it’s time to revamp our cocktail menu to focus on the sweet spirits more befitting the season. The cocktails of fall are richly colored, robust in flavor, and they’re sure to make you forget about the chill. Let’s slow down and plan our autumn-time drinking with some of the finest seasonal cocktails Arkansas has to offer.
Al Capone had two Hot Springs favorites: The Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa and rye whiskey. If he were to return this fall, he would be proud to toast the season with the drink named for him.
2 oz. Rock Town Rye Whiskey
1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
1/2 oz. Cointreau
1/4 ounce Luxardo Maraschino
Shaken over ice and strained into a martini glass, garnish with a twist of orange peel and cinnamon stick
