The competition for Diamond Chef Arkansas 2018 is already under way.

To enter, contestants submitted short videos on Facebook to illustrate their love for cooking, which range from the serious to the silly. Public voting on the videos ends at 11:59 p.m. Nov. 6, so cast your votes soon.

Brandon Brimley of To The Brim Catering, Patrick Buchanan of Simply the Best Catering, Casey Copeland of The Avenue, Jordan Davis of the Chenal Country Club, Brandon Douglas at the Green Leaf Grill, Titus Holly of The Pantry, Amanda Ivy of Old Mill Bread, Jamie McAffee of the Pine Bluff Country Club, Scott Rains of Table 28, Joseph Salgueiro of the Pleasant Valley Country Club, Coby Smith of Coby’s at the Arkansas Heart Hospital, Marti Smith of Decor of Food Arts and Izaak Winter of YaYa’s Euro Bistro have submitted videos.

The public will choose the top ten chefs, who will advance to the next round: cooking for a private cocktail party on Nov. 13. Executive chefs and event sponsors will vote on the chefs’ party dishes. After that, six finalists will remain. They’ll compete against 2017’s Diamond Chef, Mary Beth Ringgold of Capers, at the Diamond Chef Arkansas finale on April 19, 2018.
