Silver Dollar City is ready to celebrate the holidays with its An Old Time Christmas festival! The holiday extravaganza will run from Nov. 7 – Dec. 30 and will have more lights and shows than ever before.
Silver Dollar City, located in Branson, Mo., is known for its Christmas celebration. The annual event is the reigning four-time winner of the “Best Theme Park Holiday Event in America.”
More than 6.5 million lights will decoration the streets, buildings, and trees at Silver Dollar City. The Joy of the Town Square’s video-motion Christmas tree towers at 8 stories. The park also puts on 30 shows every day and night and performances from caroling troupes. All performances will be held in outdoor venues to follow social distancing guidelines.
Silver Dollar City’s new area Rivertown will also join the celebration. Thousands of LED lights will outline the new Rivertown Smokehouse and Clara Belle’s Cinnamon Bread bakery. The Smokehouse also has a covered deck with heaters that allows for safe outdoor dining along the park’s Mystic River.
Guests can also enjoy demonstrating artisans and visit family-style restaurants during the festival. Food options include the Holiday Dinner that comes with smoked turkey, ham, prim rib and trimmings, specialty soups. Many desserts are also available, from homemade ice cream to fried pies and specialty holiday funnel cakes.
The North Pole has even sent Santa Claus himself to take part in An Old Time Christmas. Children can meet him in the new Santa’s Cottage, which allows for appropriate social distancing.
Silver Dollar City will also host its annual New Year’s Celebration from Dec. 31, 2020 – Jan. 2, 2021
