Before you finish counting your blessings, we have one more to add to the list: locally farm-raised turkeys from the Grass Roots Farmers’ Cooperative. This Thanksgiving, Chef Shuttle and Grass Roots Farmers’ Cooperative are partnering to bring customers turkeys for Thanksgiving delivery in Central Arkansas.
Customers can place holiday orders at chefshuttle.com. Orders are due by Thursday, Nov. 19 at 10 p.m. for guaranteed delivery by Monday or Tuesday the week of Thanksgiving. Prices range from $75-$100 for turkeys from 12 to 18 pounds.
Based in Arkansas, Grass Roots is a farmer-owned and farmer-operated cooperative. All Grass Roots members raise livestock in Arkansas and are committed to the highest standards of agricultural sustainability. All Grass Roots poultry is raised under carefully monitored animal-husbandry standards. Grass Roots turkeys day range, which means they are free to roam the field during the day, and at night they sleep in a covered, bottomless protective structure that allows them access to the grass. They are moved to fresh paddock daily and are fed a supplement GMO-free grain made from Arkansas corn and soybeans.
Since it was established in 2014, Chef Shuttle has expanded its restaurant delivery service to 19 cities across Arkansas and Tennessee. It currently serves Benton, Bentonville, Bryant, Cabot, Collierville, Conway, Cordova, Farmington, Fayetteville, Germantown, Hot Springs, Jacksonville, Little Rock, Maumelle, Memphis, North Little Rock, Rogers, Sherwood and Springdale. Delivery is available Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
