It’s a new month which means there’s a new Bucket List at AY. For the entire month of July, Heather Baker will be making stops on the Barbecue Bucket List, and to get the party started, she popped into Count Porkula on the Boulevard.

“Definitely one of my favorite places, we’re at Count Porkula on the Boulevard,” Baker says as a BBQ Parfait is placed in front of her. “This is what you’re going to find me digging into.”

The parfait includes shredded meat, jalapenos, coleslaw, baked beans, macaroni and the restaurant’s specialty sauce.

For a “lighter” dish, Baker digs into the Karen Cobb salad.

“This salad has got fresh chicken, fresh vegetables and amazing dressing,” Baker says.

According to Baker, everything at Count Porkula on the Boulevard is healthy because it’s low carb. Whether you believe that or not, the trio platter is all protein.

“We’ve got sausage, chicken, ribs, macaroni, but my go-to is definitely the sausage,” Baker says while taking another bite.

The trio platter is a choice of any three meats and three sides.

“The sandwiches are so good, and I love this sandwich so much I had them put extra meat on it,” Baker says.

The sandwich on display is the restaurant’s new Bull & Boar. Served with ¼ pound of brisket and ¼ pound of pulled pork, this massive sandwich is topped with cole slaw and fresh jalapenos.

To wash all this barbecue down, Baker enjoyed the mango beer and the restaurant’s signature Ultimate Bloody Mary. What makes it ultimate you ask? Well, this bloody mary is served with a garnish of rib.

“This is what you all need to come and order,” Baker says taking a sip. “I’ll see y’all next week!”

Come back next week to find out where the Barbecue Bucket List will take Heather Baker next.
