During a crisis, every little bit counts. To help out, Crocs is giving away a free pair of shoes to U.S. healthcare workers combating the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to receive a free pair of crocs (either the classic crocs or crocs at work), all healthcare workers have to do is request a pair. The company will ship them for free to the workers.
Crocs has committed to fulfilling and shipping up to 10,000 pairs per day for healthcare workers. According to the company, this giveaway’s duration will depend on inventory and the amount of requests received.
“The healthcare industry has always embraced Crocs, but our mantra of ‘be comfortable in your own shoes’ applies now more than ever, and we want to do more to help our nation’s heroes,” Crocs President and CEO Andrew Rees said in a statement. “We only have one ask: Share the word to all those in healthcare and please be mindful to allow those who need these most to place their requests. This is the least we can do for those working incredibly hard to defeat this virus.”
In a tweet, Crocs wrote, “Our goal has always been to keep people comfortable in their own shoes, and now, in the face of adversity, there are certain individuals who need that feeling more than ever. Crocs is donating a free pair of shoes (with free shipping) to healthcare works on the frontlines of COVID-19.”
In addition to the giveaway, Crocs is expected to donate 100,000 pairs of shoes that will be distributed at healthcare facilities and organizations.
