The Children’s Tumor Foundation Arkansas Chapter is hosting the Dancing With Our Stars Gala fundraising event on September 5, 2019. This annual event has Arkansas celebrities dance with local dance instructors as they compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy. The gala will be held in the Robinson Center Ballroom and is the largest fundraising event for the Arkansas chapter of the Children’s Tumor Foundation. Funds raised from this event will allow the foundation to: “drive research, expand knowledge, and advance care for the NF community.” Individual tickets are $250.

NF Awareness Month
Governor Asa Hutchinson recently declared the entire month of May as NF Awareness Month. He will present the proclamation at the Arkansas State Capitol to the Children’s Tumor Foundationat 10:00 a.m. on World NF Awareness Day. The proclamation will emphasise the importance of this disease as the local Arkansas government joins the nation’s recognition.

I Know a Fighter 5K
The Children’s Tumor Foundation is hosting the 2nd Annual I Know a Fighter 5K walk/run on Saturday, May 18 starting at Garver headquarters in North Little Rock. The goal of this event is to raise funds and awareness for neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves. The race will go through North Little Rock’s Northshore Business District and will have a finish line festival. Registration for this event costs $25.
