Deluca’s Pizzeria is gearing up for National Pizza Day celebrations by joining forces with pizzerias across the country to feed the hungry through the Pizza Across America campaign.

According to a news release, the event is the “largest pizza delivery in America,” with more than 200 eateries from all 50 states participating in the delivery of pizzas to local shelters and soup kitchens. The program is organized by Slice Out Hunger, a national nonprofit that fights food insecurity through “pizza-themed campaigns and events.”

Pizza Across America co-founder Carmine Testa says, “In my eyes, the best way to celebrate National Pizza Day is by helping others and giving back to our local communities. We are thrilled to have Deluca’s Pizza participating in our largest pizza delivery yet, and we couldn’t do it without their support!”

Deluca’s will donate 15 pizzas to Jackson House, which has helped Hot Springs families in need for more than 40 years, on Feb. 10. This is Deluca’s second year to participate in Pizza Across America.

“Crafting good food is a source of great joy for me, and there’s nothing more rewarding than sharing that joy with the people who need it most in my community,” says Anthony Valinoti of Deluca’s.
