McCain Mall and Park Plaza Mall announced their plans to reopen this Friday. However, Dillards will open its stores on Tuesday, May 5 at those malls and at Pinnacle Hills Plaza in Rogers.
Gap Inc., the parent company of Old Navy, Gap and Banana Republic, expressed that it does not have plans to reopen any stores this weekend.
McCain Mall in North Little Rock, owned by Simon Property Group, has been closed since March 18 due to the pandemic. It is scheduled to reopen this Friday at 11 a.m.
The hours will be Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m and 12 to 6 p.m on Sunday.
Employees, contractors and vendors will be required to screen themselves at home prior to arriving at the mall.
Simon Property Group shared its vision for the American shopping experience as it reopens. Signs will be posted, directional decals will be put on floors, every other sink and urinal will be taped-over and common areas will be limited. Free masks and hand sanitizing packets will be available to shoppers who ask for them.
Park Plaza Mall in Little Rock is also reopening on Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. After Friday, the mall will have the same hours as McCain Mall.
People are encouraged to maintain social distance and the food court seating areas, children’s play area and common gathering areas will be closed.
Employees, contractors and vendors will be required to wear masks. Mall management, security and janitorial staff will have temperature checks prior to each shift. Anyone with symptoms or a fever of 100.4 F or higher will be asked to go home and contact their healthcare provider.
