Dillard’s Inc. is launching a new dress collection, designed by New York-based team Alex and Michael Toccin, the minds behind Toccin NY.
Entitled LDT, this exclusive line will be featured at 100 Dillard’s stores and on its online store. Dresses will be available in sizes 0 through 14 with the possibility of extended sizing later.
LDT recalls the style of the 1960s and 1970s with its bold colors and prints.
Dillard’s vice president of merchandising Alexandra Dillard told WWD that the Toccin NY designers were embracing an exciting new take on style,” calling it a perfect fit for the Dillard’s customer. “We haven’t seen a lot of newness, brands or lines emerge in the market for quite some time, and it’s exciting to see someone stepping out and trying something new and different. I love what they’re doing with their line,” she said.
“It’s approachable fashion and it looks really fresh. The thing I like most about it is the quality of the product. This is really fantastic and substantial. This is not another fast-fashion line. This is extremely well made.”
This husband-and-wife team, who both studied at Parsons, have worked with top designers, including Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen and Ralph Lauren. In 2019, they established Toccin NY, selling dress collections at Saks Fifth Avenue and other notable specialty stores. The name of the dress collection, LDT, is extremely personal for the duo; it is the initials of their daughter, Liv Dakota Toccin.
Now they are preparing to take Little Rock and the Dillard’s chain by storm.
The LDT dress collection will retail from $139 to $229.
