The long wait is almost over. Chi’s Chinese Cuisine at 17200 Chenal Parkway is bringing back its popular dim sum, starting this Saturday, April 10. Dim sum menu items (menu below) will be available seven days a week for dine-in and takeout, and dim sum carts will be served every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
“Dim sum is a very social affair. In Chinese, dim sum means ‘touch of the heart or soul.’ During the COVID pandemic, we were forced to limit the amount of social contact we had with others including our families, so serving dim sum during these times became very difficult to do. Also, many of the fresh ingredients used to make our dim sum dishes were hard to come by due to shortages. Most of dim sum items are bought and consumed on premise here in our Chenal location. Now with more of the public receiving COVID vaccinations and the easing of social distancing guidelines, we feel that it’s much safer for our customers and our employees to resume the social celebration of dim sum service again at Chi’s. From our family to yours, we thank everyone in the Central Arkansas area for supporting our locations during the pandemic. It will truly ‘touch our hearts and souls’ to see families eating dim sum again at Chi’s,” says owner Jacob Chi.
If you’ve never tried Chi’s dim sum, I highly recommend you doing so. Not only is the food fantastic, but it’s a true social eating experience.
