Progressive Techniques
Wright Plastic Surgery, which opened in 2018, is the private practice of plastic surgeon Dr. Eric J. Wright. Through his offices in the state, Wright offers both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, including face and body rejuvenation, breast surgery — augmentation, revision and reconstruction — and the surgical management of complex wounds. The practice also offers post-weight loss procedures and non-surgical options such as BOTOX and dermal fillers.
Wright is a board-certified plastic surgeon with the American Board of Plastic Surgery as well as an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery where he serves on the educational committee.
An Arkansas native, Wright began his journey by completing three undergraduate degrees at the University of Arkansas, graduating summa cum laude. He then went on to receive his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he graduated with honors in research in 2009 as a Barton Scholar and member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. After medical school, Wright decided to hone in on the art of plastic surgery.
“The diversity of the surgical field of plastic surgery was a big factor in my decision to become a plastic surgeon. I enjoy the challenge, complexity and individuality of patient care in the field of plastic surgery,” Wright says. “It is the only surgical field that one can work on multiple types of patients and is not limited to one area of the body. Plastic surgery helps restore anatomy and function as well as aesthetically restoring the human body.”
He later completed the top-rated six-year Stanford University Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency in Palo Alto, Calif., where he was able to train with nationally recognized surgeons.
“It is the oldest integrated plastic surgery residency program, and I was able to train with pioneers in the plastic surgery field,” Wright says. “I was exposed to many research opportunities and surgical experiences at multiple Bay Area institutions along with international surgical experiences.”
With a desire to continue refining his skills, Wright opted to complete an additional year of fellowship at Harvard Medical School’s historic teaching hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, where he was able to get even more experience and the focus necessary to refine both his surgical and artistic skills in an aesthetic and reconstructive breast fellowship. During this time, he also served as a plastic surgery clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School.
Because of this fellowship, Dr. Wright has acquired the most progressive techniques being used today in breast cancer reconstruction and revision surgery following breast augmentation. It was also during this period that he trained with surgeons in the evolving field of migraine surgery which he offers through his practice.
Through Wright’s expertise and extensive training, Wright Plastic Surgery has become a highly-regarded practice with client reviews ranging from praise for the compassionate nature of the staff to the remarkable results from his procedures. A true gem in the industry of plastic surgery, it is a place that will make you feel more confident and secure about your procedure in the hands of the caring, accomplished professionals at Wright Plastic Surgery.
