Little Rock native Dusty Hannahs has been waived by the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies.

Hannahs, 25, had been signed by the Grizzlies to a 10-day contract on Saturday, March 30. During his time with the Grizzlies, he played in two games. Hannahs played 26 minutes across those two games, scoring eight points with five assists.

Hannahs announced the news on Twitter, saying that he had been waived but plans to return to the NBA.

According to the Memphis Commercial Appeal, center Tyler Zeller has been signed in his place. Zeller will be replacing starting center Jonas Valanciunas and Joakim Noah, who both have injuries.

After playing for the University of Arkansas basketball team from 2015-2017, Hannahs joined the Memphis Grizzlies franchise. With the G League Memphis Hustle, Hannahs averaged 14.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 49 games.He also shot 92.6 percent from the free-throw line, a league-high.
