A festival called Elvis Week will be held in Memphis from August 11-17. During this week, music lovers can visit Graceland to celebrate the music, movies and legacy of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The week’s line-up of events includes appearances by celebrities and musicians, live concerts, panel discussions, meet and greet opportunities, parties and much more.
Travelers can book their getaway at Big Cypress Lodge, a wilderness-themed resort located in the heart of downtown Memphis inside the soaring 32-story Bass Pro Shops Pyramid along the Mississippi River. The hotel brings the outdoors inside with 103 rustic, yet elegant guest rooms and suites that resemble vintage cabins with screened-in “porches” and electric fireplaces. Additionally, guests can enjoy the elegant lobby, a 535,000 square-foot Cypress Swamp featuring aquariums teeming with fish and alligators, and two sky-high culinary outlets offering outdoor seating and panoramic views of the Memphis skyline.
While guests are in town for Elvis Week, they can dine al fresco, listen to live music, and cozy up by the fire pits, while admiring the spectacular view of the Memphis skyline, at the Mississippi Terrace, located at the top of the Pyramid. Additionally, Big Cypress Lodge has partnered with one of the country’s top-rated zoos, the Memphis Zoo, to offer guests a wildlife-filled adventure both on and off property with its Safari in the City package.
Reservations at Big Cypress Lodge can be booked here or by calling 1-800-223-3333.
