When you need to plan a weekend getaway or a big trip, how do you go about it? Do you go online and book a hotel? Use a travel agency if you’re going far away? For your next Arkansas trip, you should consider using Airbnb to book your trip.

And in Arkansas, there are plenty of great spots that you can book on Airbnb. As The Vine host Mariel Ruiz says, ““Whether you need a quick weekend getaway with the girls or maybe you’re planning a family trip this summer, Arkansas has so many amazing places to check out…”

AY Publisher Heather Baker dropped by The Vine to give everybody the scoop on some of the best hidden Arkansas gems on Airbnb.

But first, for those who don’t know, Airbnb is an online platform that allows people to rent out houses to others for short stays. Either through the website or the Airbnb app, you can find the ideal house at your destination and rent it. “I am a super fan of Airbnb. I think it’s so easy and convenient,” Ruiz says.

One of the highlights of Fayetteville’s Airbnb market is a home located on the West Fork White River. Whether you want to spend time in the great outdoors or in the vibrant city center, this home is a fantastic option.

“You have lakes beside you. You can go to the woods – fish, canoe, kayak. Then, it’s so close to the city. You can go into the city if you want and enjoy the fabulous food. It’s all around a great place to escape,” Baker says.

Maybe you’re feeling royal, and only a castle will do for your stay. Ask and you shall receive! You can book a stay at Stonehaven Castle in Eureka Springs.  “They have a castle! How exciting is that?,” Baker says.

The castle has a massive fireplace along with 65” TV screens for movie nights and plenty of board games. Of course, Eureka Springs is close by, and there’s always something exciting going on in town. “There’s so much to do there. Everybody should go there,” Baker says.

Stonehaven Castle has six rooms, so there will be plenty of room for you and your family.

“Maybe if you don’t have a big family, you can get a couple of families,” Ruiz says.

“Or you could have a friends’ or a girls’ trip,” Baker adds.

A short drive from Rogers is a beautiful modern cabin, located in the town of Garfield. Hobbs State Park and Recreation Area are close by, along with Beaver Lake. “You have so much of Arkansas outdoors there,” Baker says.

The final spot Baker recommends is Mound City. Located on 500 acres of farmland, this Airbnb resort features six guest houses. There are tons of cultural activities in the Delta, and Memphis is only a short hop away.

No matter where you want to go in Arkansas, there’s sure to be a fantastic place to stay on Airbnb!
