When Christine Benson was working in the loan department as a consumer lender, she had the opportunity to work closely with mortgage lenders. Every day, she watched them build amazing relationships with customers who were obtaining a home loan. Their customers were always happy and excited. It seemed like such a fulfilling job to help people obtain that part of the “American Dream.” Shortly thereafter, Benson found herself eager to enter the same line of work.
Through her affiliation with the Mortgage Bankers Association of Arkansas, she was able to apply for and was selected to attend the Future Leaders Program through the National Mortgage Bankers Association. She graduated from that program in 2013. She has always wanted to be a leader in the industry and all of the work that she’s done has led her to where she is today.
Benson, of Fayetteville, has been in banking for 24 years. In her spare time, she is a child advocate with CASA (court-appointed special advocates), an organization that she is very proud to represent. And, of course, the rest of the time, she is supporting the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Benson loves her work team and loves to support them and help them problem solve. Additionally, she places great value on people who exhibit humility, and people who can admit they do not know something or can admit when they are wrong.
