With school starting and with lots of people wanting to support restaurants without eating indoors, family meals have once again become popular. And if you live in Central Arkansas, then you have plenty of options. 

 

Big Orange

Big Orange has embraced the family pack concept, featuring deals like Family-Style Thai Chop Salad, Family Fry Tray, Tender Lovin’ Pack, and the Big Dipper with cheese dip and beef chili. Packs range from $12.50-$42.  

 

Bulgogi Korean BBQ (Conway)

Bulgogi’s Family Combo is available for takeout only and includes Steak, Spicy Pork or Chicken Noodles, Steak, Spicy Pork or Chicken Fried Rice, Side of Sesame Chicken, 6 Mandu Dumplings, 2 Egg Rolls, and 2 Spring Rolls.

 

Cantina Laredo

Cantina Laredo has their Enchilada Fiesta special available Friday and Saturday (to-go only) for $49. It feeds 6 and includes: chili con queso, 4 Vera Cruz Enchiladas, 4 Espinaca Enchiladas, 4 Beef Enchiladas, 2 Pints Spanish Rice, 2 Pints Black Beans, and 2 Slices Mango Tres Leches Cake.

 

Capitol Smokehouse and Grill

Capitol Smokehouse has Pig Out Packs for 4, 6, 8, and 12 people, ranging in price from $38-$114, and includes pulled pork, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, sauce, plates, and utensils. $2 extra per person for beef brisket substitute. 

 

Eat My Catfish

Check out Eat My Catfish’s website for details on the Catfish, Chicken, and Ultimate (with ten pieces of fried catfish, four chicken tenders, three regular sides, and 10 hushpuppies) family packs. There’s also a 6-piece, fried shrimp add-on option for each pack. 

 

Heights Taco & Tamale Co.

Heights Taco’s party platter costs $65 and includes 6 Grilled Chicken Tacos, 6 Pulled Pork Tacos, One Dozen Delta-Style Pork Tamales, 12 ounces Melting Pot Cheese Dip, 12 ounces of Braised Ground Beef Chili and plenty of saltines and House-Made Tortilla Chips.

 

Mackey’s Catfish (Conway)

This Conway food truck has several family meal options, all coming with slaw, hushpuppies, and French fries. Select from fried catfish, shrimp, or chicken.

 

Milano’s Italian Grill

Milano’s has various trays, both full and half-orders available, including options like lasagna, ravioli, and chicken parm. 

 

Mockingbird Beer and Tacos

Feed the Family from Mockingbird for $60. Includes 12 tacos, 6 empanadas, 2 orders of beans, 1 queso and 1 guacamole (feeds 6-8). Split the order in half Mockingbird’s mini platter ($35). 

 

Pasta Grill (Conway)

Pasta Grill offers up one of the better family-style, to-go menus you will find in the area. If you don’t believe me, check out this menu.

Rock N Roll Sushi

Both Little Rock locations are offering a $65, 4-person family meal that includes two appetizers, soup or salad, and a chicken hibachi entrée. You can substitute other proteins at an additional cost. 

 

Rocket 88 BBQ

Rocket BBQ offers 7 family meals, each including a protein, Choice of 2 Sides, Choice of Dessert, Buns, and Sauce for $75 (feeds 12-16). Check out the website for ordering options.

 

Sam’s Southern Eatery (Conway)

Folks in Conway should check out Sam’s family meals which include options like catfish, chicken strips, and wings. 

 

Smoke Shack Bar-B-Q (Maumelle)

Star of India

Star of India was one of the very first Little Rock restaurants to master the family meal game and still have 13 offerings, all ranging from $90-$100 and feeding 10-12 people. That’s a pretty darn good deal. 

 

Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal has 5 family pack options, all costing $60. The restaurant does need 1-2 hours of lead time to prepare these meals. 

 

Taziki’s Mediterranean Café 

Taziki’s Family Feasts for 4 or 6 people include a variety of proteins, along with Classic Greek Salad, Basmati Rice or Roasted New Potatoes, and Pita Chips. To-Go Only. Please order ahead.

 

The Mean Pig (Cabot)

This family meal includes 1 pound of chopped meat, 4 jumbo buns, a pint of each: Smoked Beans, Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, and 8 ounces of sauce. No substitutions. 

 

The Pantry

The Pantry has several entrées available via family-style with an 8-person minimum. Here’s the full menu, which includes the popular Lasagna Al Forno and Paella, just to name a few. 

 

The Pizzeria

Available after 5 p.m., the family special at The Pizzeria comes with 4 mini oatmeal whoopie pies and your choice of appetizer, large salad, and two pizzas. Feeds four people and is a great deal.

Yaya’s will feed a family of four for $60 with a variety of offerings, like lasagna and shrimp risotto, just to name a few. Available for takeout only. 

 

ZAZA Fine Salad + Wood-Oven Pizza Co

ZAZA has a family-style Take & Bake Pack for $18.50, which includes all the ingredients you need to make two pizzas at home, as well as a selection of nine family-style salads ($42-$48), including my two favorites, the Petit Jean Ranch and Vietnamese Chicken Salad.
