Whoever said combining alcohol and fire was a bad idea clearly never went to the Museum of Discovery. Because that’s exactly what they’re doing next week during “Combust a Move!,” the latest installment of Science After Dark.

On May 30, join museum staff and other 21-and-older science fans at the museum to explore the galleries and participate in hands-on activities. This month’s theme will be – you guess it – fire and explosions. As the museum itself puts it, “it’s like Pyro Prom.”

Of course, one of the highlights of Science After Dark is the chance to indulge in some adult beverages at the museum. There will be a full bar featuring craft beer, wine and cocktails that will be available. There will also be pizza for some light snacking.

Science After Dark is all about reigniting the fun and passion for science, and museum staff will be working to design a fun evening of cool science experiments.

Admission for Science After Dark is $5 (or free for museum members). Admission includes access to all of the museum galleries and exhibits.
