KnightFire BBQ in Searcy is switching gears soon — from a food truck to an official brick-and-mortar location. The restaurant announced the news on social media this week, along with a disclaimer that it will take them a few months to get the new spot (304 South Main Street, Searcy) up and running, so this is the last week to eat KnightFire BBQ this year. The post also states the location will not offer indoor dining but will have plenty of outdoor seating.
Speaking of Searcy, make plans to be there on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the World Championship Chocolate Gravy Cookoff. Tickets are $5 in advance, $7 on day of the event, and folks can even enter their own chocolate gravy recipe. There are amateur and professional categories, with a grand prize of $250 for each.
