Want to spread your wings and dance? Ballet Arkansas is offering a full suite of dance classes this summer for students.
Classes will be open to students age 4 up through college age. Due to COVID-19 concerns, class sizes will be limited with Arkansas Department of Health-approved safe practices in place to ensure the health of students and teachers.
The first class offered will be a Story Time Dance Camp for children age 4 to 6. Held from June 7 to 11, this class will mix dance and storytelling, focusing on fairy tales, fables and classical ballets. Students will get to learn about classics like “Sleeping Beauty” and “Swan Lake,” with a final showcase for family and a video for sharing later. The class will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at Ballet Arkansas’ studio at 520 Main St. in downtown Little Rock.
Tuition for the program is $150 with a deposit due upon registration and the remaining amount due April 30.
