After a brief break, the Arkansas Goat Festival is baaaaa-ck! On Saturday, October 1, goat parents and goat fans are invited to Perryville City Park for a “goat” time.

The Arkansas Goat Festival is a celebration of everything goat. The festival includes goat parades, goat costume contests, goat races and more activities goat-related.

This year, there will be two goat parades. There will be one for goats in costume and one for goats just as they are in the natural goat-iness. Additionally, there will be a goat costume contest and a goat lingerie show.

If goats and goat parents just want to attend to hang out and enjoy the show, a goat rest area will be on site. Live music and food trucks will also be at the park for guests’ enjoyment.

For the most part, do whatever floats your goat, but there are a couple of rules to follow. Leash or harnesses must be worn at all times and intact male goats are strongly discouraged from attending (the organizers would like to point out that will be mating season).

There is no cost for people or goats and pre-registration is not required, but the organizers of the event would appreciate a head count. Anyone who pre-registers their goat will receive a thank-you gift for attending. Gifts will also be given for participating in the costume contest and/or the lingerie show.

Find more information about the event and registration on the Arkansas Goat Festival website and follow the event on its socials.
