A new binge-worthy show is debuting on Apple TV+, featuring various stars from Arkansas, including the nonprofit organization Canopy of Northwest Arkansas. Former First Lady of Arkansas Hillary Clinton and her daughter – Arkansan native, writer and global health advocate – Chelsea Clinton, host the eight-part docuseries: Gutsy.
As per the series’s tagline, Gutsy explores the plights of some intensely brave women, some celebrities and other relatively unknown heroines.
The Canopy of NWA aims to “create community where refugees are welcomed and equipped with all they need to build new lives” and is the largest agency for resettling refugees in our state.
The seventh episode “Gutsy Women Take Leaps,” lands under the Canopy of Northwest Arkansas to spotlight female Afghan refugees who have successfully resettled in the region, in significant part due to the nonprofit’s support.
