After a busy Saturday night, it’s nice to enjoy a lazy Sunday. But where to eat? In Arkansas, there are plenty of great restaurants that offer brunch, but there are definitely some that stand out – and those are the ones that made the AY About You Magazine Brunch Bucket List.
This week, AY Publisher Heather Baker and KARK host DJ Williams stopped by a Little Rock favorite for brunch. In fact, it’s the favorite spot in Little Rock for one of our culinary adventurers.
“We’re starting at my favorite, literally, at my favorite place in town. I’m going to go ahead and say it: Petit & Keet,” Williams says. “The cool thing about this place beside the unbelievable food, Heather, is that they have a section with formal dining, a bar area, outside area – literally everything you need for the perfect environment to enjoy your food.”
Baker and Williams got a glimpse of the back – seeing how all the delicious food gets made at Petit & Keet. But let’s get real – they’re here to eat.
And they had a feast to eat. Petit & Keet laid down the gauntlet with an array of five dishes, including their churro waffles with Nutella cream sauce, a Beckshire Rib Bacon that features black-eyed pea cake and collard chow chow, duck tamales and more. Baker and Williams also sipped on some tasty adult beverages, including the Cowboy Breakfast, a play on a whiskey sour with a bacon garnish, and an Expression of Mocha, a chocolate martini.
The spread of food clearly makes an impact on the two hosts. “Wow, look at all this divine goodness! We showed you the two in the back, and now we have all of this,” Baker says.
Even before they get the chance to taste the food, Baker and Williams know it’s good. “It’s good before you even taste. That’s how good it is here,” he says.
But, of course, the true test is in the taste. “The food is amazing,” Williams says.
Petit & Keet serves brunch every Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
