Heather Baker and the KARK crew are back on the road for another stop on the Coffee and Pastries Bucket List. This week, Baker is joined by Claire Kreuz to visit Nexus Coffee & Creative in Little Rock.

“We are about to get our sweet on,” Baker says of the many delectables sitting before them. “Plus, all these beautiful coffees — aren’t they so amazing?”

Kreuz starts off with a cup of the Classic Cuban, a seasonal drink that’s a blend of sweetened condensed milk, sugar in the raw, two shots of espresso, steamed milk and a dust of cinnamon.

Baker’s first sips won’t surprise anyone who knows her — she got her favorite, an Iced Caramel Macchiato. “I like caramel with a splash of milk.”

To follow the temperature changes in the weather, Kreuz tries out the S’mores Latte next. And, with Thanksgiving coming up, Baker tried out the Sweet Potato Latte, which she says might be her new go-to.

But a stop at Nexus wouldn’t be complete without trying a few of the freshly made products from Nona Bakes. The girls can’t get enough of the bacon-wrapped egg bites, a strawberry and cream cheese pastry and, of course, one of their famous cinnamon rolls.

“You have got to come in and check this out,” Baker says. “It’s cold outside. They have the best coffee and the best pastries. But definitely tune in next week and see where we go next.”
