One thing that’s obvious about me is how much I absolutely love the people of Arkansas. The people in our state really go above and beyond in providing us with the best in businesses, creative outlets and quality of service. Southern hospitality is taken to a whole new level in Arkansas, and I can’t help but to brag about the people in our state any chance I get. That’s why one of my all-time favorite events is highlighting the amazing people that make our state truly special with AY”s Best Of annual event.
This year, we left no stone unturned when it comes to finding the best of the best. The nominations submitted by our readers were enough to create nearly 200 categories! That’s amazing! By the amount of nominations submitted to our publication, it’s obvious that I’m not the only one totally in awe of what the people in our state have to offer.
From restaurants to healthcare to retail to travel – every category and subcategory under the Arkansas sun is covered, and the winners will be announced by myself and everyone’s favorite radio host, David Bazzel from 103.7 The Buzz. Every Friday morning for the past month, I have been sharing weekend plans and upcoming events with the boys of The Buzz on “The Show with No Name,” and they keep me laughing all morning! I really hit the jackpot with having David as a co-emcee for AY’s Best Of 2021. The two of us had the greatest time together shooting for the event, and let me tell you, he cleans up nice in a suit!
Also joining us as a special guest is none other than my girl Lisa Fischer. Her and David are both testaments to the talent we have here in Arkansas, and aren’t we lucky to have people like them? If you tune in to watch our event on May 6 at 6:30pm, you’ll experience firsthand their infectious personalities that make each of them iconic media legends.
This past year has changed so much, especially in the job world. The pandemic hit large companies, small businesses and individuals in numerous ways. The rise of those affected out of the destruction and rocky edges of the pandemic has been a beautiful sight to witness.
I am so proud of each and every person in the state of Arkansas, and I am overjoyed that our publication will have the honor to award those that have surpassed it all. I’m thrilled that we are still able to continue the tradition of AY’s Best Of. We have a lot of fun things in store for the award show, so I hope y’all are ready and have been rooting on your favorite nominees. This show is going to be unlike any other year!
