Nothing comes easy, everyone knows that, but this especially applies to getting in shape. I go to the gym regularly to try to live a healthier lifestyle, and while I have toned up and lost some weight, there are some areas of my body that are just so stubborn. After a while, you start losing hope in the goal you had set for yourself and it’s frustrating to think that no matter how hard you work, you’re still not seeing the results you want.
All of my frustrations went away when Dr. Suzanne Yee introduced me to CoolSculpting. This is a noninvasive procedure that tackles the pockets of fat that just don’t want to go away with a science called cryolipolysis.
Her office will soon update to CoolSculpting Elite, an updated and more fast-acting form of this treatment. CoolSculpting Elite will freeze off two times the amount of fat with dual applicators (dual applicators can treat two areas of fat in the same amount of time that the earlier version would take). That’s amazing! Nine areas of the body can be treated including under the chin and jawline areas, thighs, abdomen, flanks, bra fat, back fat, the area below the buttocks and upper arms. The people recommended for this treatment are those that are close to their weight goal and looking to get that tone and definition that a few frozen off pounds can achieve.
A year ago, Dr. Yee invited some local names to her office to receive the CoolSculpting treatment as a demo in the lobby so clients could watch and learn more about the procedure. DJ Williams, Lisa Fischer, myself and some others were all treated to a session. I chose to have my arms treated, and with my arms in two cold sleeves, it honestly felt more like a massage session than a procedure. I’m a natural redhead, so my skin is fairly sensitive to certain temperatures, especially hot. I can’t do treatments that involve heat because I tend to react badly, so CoolSculpting was perfect for me. The treatment simply felt like a cold tightening in my arms. I have a high pain tolerance in general, but from the reviews I’ve read on CoolSculpting from others who have had the treatment, others say the same: the treatment is not painful at all and is almost relaxing like a massage session.
Dr. Yee recommends two treatments for the best results, but I did three just to be sure. Let me tell you, I was so stoked after the third treatment and seeing how much more toned my arms appeared to be. I felt like a new woman ready to tackle any obstacle in my way. I started planning the next area I wanted to see worked on.
As many women can probably relate to, the area under my arms is almost impossible to shrink and tone. There isn’t an exercise or workout that can eliminate that pocket of fat in my underarm bra area, and with summer here and sleeveless tops ready to be worn, I don’t want to feel like I’m overflowing. I called Dr. Yee’s office and asked if that could be an area for CoolSculpting and she said, “Definitely, it’s the perfect area!” To say I was excited for my first treatment is a total understatement. I was so ready to get in there and freeze that fat away. I’ll go in for a second treatment on this area next week and I will keep y’all updated on my results!
