Nothing is more important than quality and professional medical care – I mean, that’s how you stay alive, isn’t it? Finding a family doctor is often not an easy task, and you may want to pull your hair out at all the hits and misses of finding someone that each member of the family approves of. Finding Dr. John Jayroe at Little Rock Family Practice (LRFPC) was a blessing, and I trust him completely to not only look after my health, but also my children’s health.
I first met Dr. Jayroe at my first Little Rock Executive’s Association (LREA) meeting. I consider myself to be young (at heart), so I tend to gravitate toward the younger crowd. Dr. Jayroe and I joined LREA the same week, and he looked young and as lost at this first meeting as I did. I quickly made friends with him and started talking about his career as a doctor at LRFPC. From the start, I knew that this was someone I could trust.
Dr. Jayroe is easy to talk to, knowledgeable, and he has always been on point in diagnosing and treating me and my kids. Even though my babies are on their way to being “all grown-up,” I still want the absolute best care for them, and we get just that with each visit at LRFPC.
I am all about efficiency, and if LRFPC is anything, they are efficient. “LRFPC is a great place to address all of your health care needs. We have a full lab and X-ray on site – a one-stop shop. Our doctors also have well-established relationships with specialists in the community,” says Dr. Jayroe. I love the option of in-house labs because rather than spending time going to another office on the opposite side of town to get lab work done, I can stay right where I am. The clinic also houses densitometers, dietician services, and an endless list of other services that make LRFPC a place for full-service care.
If you haven’t heard of telemedicine, you’re about to learn about it. Telemedicine is more or less a Zoom conference with the doctor that is covered by insurance. This has been especially wonderful during the past year. “Telemedicine has been an alternative during the pandemic. Today, telehealth is a good option for mental health follow ups and a few specific health conditions for established patients,” says Dr. Jayroe. All we need to do is set-up a time to call in, stay in the comfort of our home and talk to our doctor. This is honestly one of the best services and so convenient!
With most health clinics, you go to your appointment, talk to your doctor, get prescribed a medication or ten, and then don’t hear from them until the next visit. That’s not the case with LRFPC. They will send you messages simply to check up on you and make sure you’re feeling better or doing okay. How special is that? To know that your doctor and their team takes the time to look after their patients even when nothing major is wrong is truly amazing.
I’ll probably be sending my family to Dr. Jayroe until he retires, and considering how young he is, that will be a long time from now. “Continuity is very important in patient care and our doctors stay with the practice and our patients. We have patients that have been with LRFPC since we opened in 1963,” says Dr. Jayroe.
My family is my top priority, and I know that Dr. Jayroe considers each family he treats as top priority as well. Stay healthy!
